Corvette Delivery Dispatch with National Corvette Seller Mike Furman for Week of Aug 2nd

Each week, Criswell Chevrolet’s Mike Furman delivers new Corvette Stingrays and Z06s to his customers who come from all parts of the country to work with the nation’s top Corvette seller.

Mike works with the guys from Callaway to fulfill a request from a repeat customer. When it was all said and done, a deal was worked out on a rare Admiral Blue/Twilight Blue 2016 Corvette Z06 which would head back to Callaway’s headquarters in Connecticut where it will get the SC757 treatment. The really cool part of the deal? The customer will take delivery at Callaway tent later this month at Corvettes at Carlisle. We’ll be looking forward to seeing that car once its completed.

~The 2017 model year for the Corvette will be another big year for production totals. The Grand Sport is hotter than a pistol and there are some great new colors.This past week from Monday-Thursday I wrote 28 Factory orders and delivered a bunch of new Chevrolets…most of them Corvettes.

August will be a busy month for Corvette Shows and Events. *August 13th I will be at the Gburg Corvette Show in the morning at Criswell (Gaithersburg, MD and then in the afternoon I will take a ride over to Manassas, VA for their big Corvette show. *August 25th-27th -Corvettes at Carlisle I will be at the Spring Mountain Tent on the infield and right across the way is the Callaway tent. For the first time ever a new Callaway Corvette gets delivered on site as Ben from Herndon, VA will drive away in what is a very RARE Z06… Admiral Blue with Twilight Blue interior. see story below…

~Ben D of Herndon, VA last purchased a Callaway Grand Sport Convt from me in 2011 at the Carlisle Corvette event…I had driven it to the show site for display at the Callaway tent. Chris from Callaway introduced me to Ben and within the hour he nodded Yes, I’ll take it. So that Saturday he showed up at Criswell and took delivery. Fast forward to this past week and the Men from Callaway(Mike Zoner and Chris Chessnoe) were sitting in my office discussing some things when Chris states "I think Ben may want a Z06 Cpe in Blue"…I told Chris I had several in stock but one in particular was really cool and very rare. I called Ben on the phone right in front of them and got the mileage on his 2011 Callaway GS Convt and within the hour gave him all the numbers. He said "Lets do it"…so Mike Zoner had the trailer with him as Callaway was doing some testing at a local race track, and off he went with Ben’s new 2016 Z06 cpe in Admiral Blue with Twilight Blue interior. I will do a follow up story after the Carlisle event when Ben takes delivery on site Saturday the 27th. Ben came to Criswell yesterday and traded in his Corvette and signed all the paperwork. This will be one very Rare and Cool Callaway Z06.

~Lew S from Rehoboth Beach, DE called me a few weeks ago and I gave him a sight unseen appraisal on his 2006 Z51 Convt. Lew picked out a 2016 Stingray Z51 Cpe in Shark Gray with Black interior and the stock silver wheels. He wanted those wheels and he couldn’t find them anywhere on the Corvette that he was seeking. He called me Thursday and I held the Corvette until yesterday when he drove 145 miles to Criswell to swap Corvettes. This is Lew’s 10th Corvette! Congrats!!!

~Gary N from Marlboro, NJ has his new 2017 Corvette positioned just right…it’s in the Corvette Museum waiting for him to take delivery August 8th. Gary contacted me a few months ago and he ordered an Arctic White with Jet Black interior Stingray cpe with Mag ride, Red Calipers, Auto trans, Perf Exhaust, Black machined Alum wheels, CF Stinger stripe and much more!
