Corvette Auction Results for Mecum's Austin 2015 Sale

Mecum held their final sale of the year over the weekend in Austin, Texas and Corvettes did pretty well according to Vette N Vettement’s Marshall Fancher who was on the scene for us. Marshall reports that of the 53 Corvettes that crossed the block, 32 found new owners for a very respectable 60% sell-through rate.

Two Corvettes tied for the title as top Corvette sale of the auction and what’s interesting is that they couldn’t be more different from each other. A bright Orange 1959 Corvette restomod with a supercharged LS2 V8 sold for $130,000 as did a totally restored Sebring Silver 1963 Corvette Sting Ray Split Window Coupe with a matching numbers 327/360 hp fuel injected engine.

Rounding out the top five was a 1964 Corvette restomod which sold for $102,000, another 1963 Corvette Coupe fuelie which sold for $95,000 and number five was a NCRS Top Flight 1965 Corvette Convertible with the first year 396/427 big block.

Some good deals at Mecum included a 1971 Corvette selling for $11,500 and a Ruby Red 1993 Corvette 40th Anniversary Edition which sold for $5,500.
