[PICS] The Blank Manta Corvette Steals the Show at the Manila Auto Salon

If you could cross a C6 with a C7, what would you get?

Car Porn Racing’s Ian King says it would be the Black Manta.

His company took a C6 Corvette and added a C7 facelift and a custom rebody designed by Jon Sibal and built by Car Porn Racing.

The working prototype was on display at the just concluded 2015 Manila Auto Salon, and we’re sure the visitors there came away very impressed with the Black Manta. It’s a great-looking car with plenty of performance features to back up the beauty.

The Black Manta retained the C6 Corvette’s LS3 6.2-liter V8 engine, but lots of other goodies were added, including an E-Force supercharger kit, Pfadt sway bars and engine supports, Varex exhaust, StopTech big brake kit, DPE wheels, Nitto tires, and Recaro seats, not to mention a carbon driveshaft, racing clutch, and aluminum center column.

“After the car show,” King says, “we will do some track testing before we proceed to produce a carbon-fiber body.”

King maintains that the Black Manta is his “craziest project” and that it’s been three years in the making, “and it’s finally on debut at the Manila Auto Salon.”
