Join the Corvette Museum's Motorsports Park on Thursday for Groundbreaking of the Holley Control Tower

The National Corvette Museum’s Motorsports Park has been packing in quite a few events since the track opened during the Museum’s Anniversary Celebration at the end of August 2014. Track events going on nearly each and every weekend hasn’t stopped the NCM from working to complete the project with the addition of several support buildings and garages.

Earlier this year, the park started construction on the Kimberlee A. Fast Pavilion as well as the Mobil 1 fueling stations. On Thursday, they will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for the one of the biggest editions yet to the Motorsports Park – the addition of the Holley Control Tower and Event Center.

The Holley Control Tower and Event Center will have 12,600 total square feet of space and will include meetings and classroom spaces, a lobby/retail area, catering kitchen, reception office, administrative offices and the race control room. The two-story structure will have an open-air viewing deck as well as a Winner’s Circle podium.

The groundbreaking ceremony for the Holley Control Tower and Event Center will be held on Thursday, May 28th at 4pm Central (5pm Eastern). If you can’t be there in person, the NCM will be streaming the event live on the iOS app Periscope. You don’t have to have Periscope or twitter to watch, but you need to visit the Motorsports Park on twitter with the handle @ncmmsp and a tweet with the live video link will be sent out just before the ceremony starts.
