We treat our Corvettes like babies.

Now this video produced by ExxonMobil takes a behind-the-scenes look at the Corvette “birthing” process, including the first bottle given to the new “infant” – full of Mobil 1 synthetic motor oil, not milk!

The video is particularly significant now because Chevrolet just produced the 600,000th Corvette filled with Mobil 1 motor oil, a feat that took 21 years to accomplish.

As Corvette enthusiasts are well aware, Mobil 1 is the factory fill for the amazing 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 and the 2015 Corvette Stingray with the Z51 Performance Package, while remaining the recommended service fill for all Corvette models.

“Chevrolet’s long-standing choice of Mobil 1 synthetic motor oil for the Corvette exemplifies ExxonMobil’s commitment to the advancement of lubricant technology,” said David Tsurusaki, strategic global alliance manager, ExxonMobil Fuels & Lubricants. “By flowing quickly to protect critical engine parts and withstanding high heat conditions, Mobil 1 is a perfect choice for high-performance Corvette engines.”

Mobil 1 is a natural fit for the Corvette because it’s designed at the molecular level and enhanced with a proprietary additive system that provides great protection against wear, heat, cold weather, and sludge buildup to keep our Corvettes running like new for years.

By the way, Chevrolet recommends Mobil 1 15w-30 oil, which meets or exceeds GM dexos1® specifications, as service fill for all Corvette models and Mobil 1 15W-50 for on-track and high-performance applications.

There is a current rebate for Mobil 1 purchases through the end of May. For more information about Mobil 1 motor oil, visit: www.mobil1.com.
