[VIDEO] 1968 Corvette Gets the ACCEL IT Treatment at Hot Reno Nights

You could be the next lucky person to get a performance upgrade courtesy of ACCEL Performance Group.

ACCEL has just started a new show called ACCEL IT, and the first vehicle chosen after a lengthy search by host Jenny Long turned out to be a very cool 1968 Corvette convertible from the Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auctions and Hot August Nights cruise in Reno, Nevada.

Steve Tanzi, who was taking care of the Corvette for a friend in Florida, and mechanic Timmy Hinkle of Little Green Customs handled the installation of several performance parts from ACCEL, including a Mallory Performance Distributor, ACCEL Super Stock Spark Plug Wires, ACCEL Super Stock Ignition Coil, and ACCEL Shorty Spark Plugs.

After just a few minutes in the shop, Jenny fires the Corvette back to life, and she and Steve enjoy a cruise down the road.

A second episode featuring a 1972 Chevelle is already on the ACCEL website, and who knows, your ride could be next.

“ACCEL is hitting the road, looking for YOU – actually, the set of wheels that belong to you,” ACCEL says on its website. “We’re selecting folks from all over the country who could use a complete matched package of ACCEL Performance Group parts, and with the help of Mr. Gasket and ACCEL, we’re changing what’s going on under a lot of hoods!”

If you’d like to be considered, connect with ACCEL on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter by sending them a picture of your ride using the hashtag #ACCELit.

“We’re choosing new vehicles EVERY day,” ACCEL says. “The next one could be YOURS!”
