South Richmond Rotary Club Raffling Off a 2015 Corvette Stingray Built the Way You Want

The South Richmond (Va.) Rotary Club is raffling off a 2015 Corvette Stingray as part of their major 2015 fundraising activities with the proceeds of the raffle going to help the Richmond Fisher House and the Families of the Wounded Fund. Both organizations offer support to families of wounded veterans while undergoing treatment.

The drawing to pick the winner will be held at the Rotary Club’s Casino Night charity fundraiser on March 7, 2015. Tickets are $100 each and sale will be limited to 1,500 tickets.

Built the Way You Want

Criswell Chevrolet in Gaithersburg, Maryland, along with super salesman and Corvette fanatic Mike Furman are supporting the Rotary Club raffle for the second consecutive year. Last year’s winner took home an all black Stingray convertible, the car of his choice. The Rotary Club will provide an advance of $60,000 toward the purchase of a new 2015 Corvette. If you are the lucky winning ticket holder, you can order the car built the way you want. The winner is responsible for all costs over $60,000.

Richmond Fisher House

The Richmond Fisher House serves as a home away from home for families of veterans and active duty armed forces personnel receiving care at the Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center. The home, located on the Medical Center campus, provides lodging for families of veterans receiving treatment at the McGuire VA hospital, at no cost. It contains 21 family suites, including private bath, dining areas, recreation, and entertainment. It is fully handicap-accessible.

Families of the Wounded Fund

Since 2005, the Families of the Wounded Fund has provided financial resources in support of family members and caregivers of military service men and women who have either been wounded in combat operations, or injured as the result of line-of-duty activities in support of combat operations. Their support may be used for lodging, meals, transportation, healthcare, childcare, phone calls, and a variety of miscellaneous needs experienced by family members or caregivers while they are attending to their loved ones.
