Jerry Seinfeld and Jimmy Fallon Ride in a Classic 1956 Corvette on Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee

On this week’s webisode of Jerry Seinfeld’s Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, the well-known Porsche affectionado opts for a classic 1956 Corvette in Cascade Green which he uses to pick up and drive around fellow comedian and host of The Tonight Show, Jimmy Fallon.

The show opens with Seinfeld taking us through the specs of the Corvette of which only 290 were made in that color. He describes the ’56 Vette as being “the essence of American futuristic positivism of the post-war society at that time.”

When Jimmy sees the Corvette, he and Jerry start talking about the automotive “hay-days” of the 1950s. Fallon remarks that the Corvette “is a beautiful thing. This is just gorgeous. And the color…” and then Jimmy asks “What happened with cars? Where did they stop making colors like this?”

Jerry revs the 265 cubic inch V8 with 240 horses and then shifts the 2-speed powerglide transmission into gear and the two comedians head down the road.

The episode with Fallon on Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee is available to watch now on Crackle.com.
