Here’s a special 1967 Corvette Sting Ray Sport Coupe that will be offered this week at the Mecum auction in Austin, Texas. The Riverside Red Coupe was shown at the GM Vehicle Display during the 1967 Riverside Grand Prix in California. Since then it has lived the pampered life of a garage queen.
The Red/Red 1967 Corvette is Lot #S93 and will be sold on Saturday, December 13th. It’s equipped with the Tri-Power L68 427/400 hp and features a 4-speed transmission, factory A/C, AM/FM radio and rally wheels with redline tires.
The Sting Ray is VIN # 2607 and has a remarkable 3290 miles on the odometer. The Corvette has won a copious amount of awards including the NCRS Duntov Award of Excellence, NCRS Top Flight and Bloomington Gold Certification.

Delivered to De Anza Chevrolet in Riverside, CA. on 11/17/66, the documentation includes the tank sticker, dealer copy of the Corvette Order and Protect-O-Plate. Ownership history of the car since new is also documented.
