Corvette Funfest Encourages Friendly Competition Among Military Branches

Mid America Motorworks is always looking for new and exciting activities for its annual Corvette Funfest.

This year’s event, set for Sept. 18-21 in Effingham, Ill., will feature a new contest between the branches of the military to see which one – the Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Marines, National Guard, or Reserves – ends up with the most active and retired Corvette enthusiasts to register for Corvette Funfest 2014.

You can keep up with the results each week on social media, where Mid America will announce the current standings of military registered for the Funfest.

Dubbed the Largest Corvette Party in the World, the Funfest this year will be a celebration of America’s Sports Car and America’s Armed Forces, combining Corvette seminars, awards and displays with a tribute to the men and women who have served to make this nation great.

Of course, the usual fun parts of Funfest will also be on the schedule, including the Thursday Night Fun Run, the Friday Charity Event, Expert Seminars, Celebrity Choice Judging, the Corvette Funfest Fashion Show and headlining Saturday entertainment.

You can register for Funfest by visiting www.corvettefunfest.com and also keep up with the Corvette Funfest Military Competition on Facebook at www.facebook.com/mamotorworks and on Twitter at @MidAMotorworks.

Oh, and by the way, the Army has a commanding lead right now, with more than half of the registration.
