[REMINDER] Friday is Drive Your Corvette to Work Day

It’s that time of year again!

This Friday marks the 14th Annual “Drive Your Corvette to Work Day”. Will you be driving your Corvette to work?

The annual cruise to work fest was first envisioned by Mike Yager and Mid America Motorworks. The cruise is always held on the Friday closest to June 30th, the day the first 1953 Corvettes rolled off a temporary assembly line in Flint, MI.

“We understand why so many owners consider their Corvettes to be a special car and only drive it occasionally, but we also think that driving the cars to your place of employment (at least once a year) is an excellent way to demonstrate just how popular these vehicles are, and it is a chance to ‘Save the Wave’ and keep the Corvette spirit alive,” said Mid America’s Chief Cheerleader Mike Yager, who added “the goal is to have as many Corvette owners as possible drive their cars to work that day.”

Many of you already drive your Corvettes to work and that’s great. But Friday is also the day to get out those classics and collector cars and let the folks where your work get the opportunity first-hand to see what powers your Corvette passion.
