The 82nd Edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans featured all the drama and excitement that we’ve come to expect from the Super Bowl of road racing. But this year was a bit more special for Corvette enthusiasts who watched Corvette Racing’s new C7.Rs make their debut on the world stage. After 24 hours of hard racing, the C7.Rs finished 2nd and 4th in the GTE Pro class with the checkered flag belonging to Ferrari.
Although we didn’t get the win, our Corvettes ran a tough race and the drivers were able to finish without catastrophic damage or injury during the race. Our Vettes were the fastest at the end of the race with all three drivers of the No.73 Corvette laying down the fastest laps in the class to snatch 2nd place from Porsche.
