The 3-day event kicks off Thursday, October 10th and runs through Saturday, October 12th at the Schaumburg Convention Center. Velocity will have 16 hours of live coverage from Chicago.

The 1963 Harley Earl Corvette sits at the top of the Corvette mountain this week. We’ve even speculated if it could set another world record sales price. Other gems on the Corvette docket include a 1965 365hp roadster (pictured above), a red/red 1970 LT-1 convertible, and a 60th anniversary 2013 427 convertible.

Here’s a closer look at some other cool Vettes crossing the Mecum auction block this weekend in Chicago.

Lot S209 – 2009 Hennessey ZR750:
Sometimes 638 horsepower just isn’t enough. That’s where tuners like Hennessey Performance come in. This ZR1 has been outfitted with their ZR750 package. In fact, this is the very first ZR750. Modifications include high flow cylinder heads, stainless long-tube headers, upgraded cam shaft. and a new supercharger pulley. The result is 750hp, 664 ft-lbs of torque, and 0-60mph times under 3 seconds.

A 3.36 Positraction rear end routes power out to the rear wheels. Other installed options include F41 suspension, power brakes, off road exhaust, and bolt-on wheels.
