Last week Chris from Callaway Cars tipped us off to a thread he started on the Corvette Forum where he shows off the most recent Callaway C16 to roll out of their shop. He says the Night Race Blue machine is all finished and ready to be shipped to its owner. We wish it was coming to our garage instead.
Every Callaway C16 comes equipped with all the options available on a Callaway Corvette. Meaning that all of the upgrades available on the other Callaway offerings such as the wheel and tire group, upgraded suspension and brakes as well as the Deutschleder Interior are all standard on this top dog C16.
As mentioned above, the exterior wears the factory Night Race Blue Metallic paint while the interior features Night Race Blue stitching on the dove gray leather and alcantara areas. You’ll also notice that the carbon fiber interior package was included as well. In the Corvette Forum thread Chris states that the customer elected the factory seats over sport models and that the customer “…could own any car in the World (and does own several other very significant vehicles) however, they appreciated the Callaway brand of performance…”
According to the Callaway website the C16 has 650hp and 600lb-ft of torque on tap. The 0-60mph sprint takes 3.3sec and the 1/4 mile flashes by in 11 seconds at 128mph. Keep the throttle mashed and you’ll top out at 207mph. All that performance will set you back about $225,000.
