[VIDEO] 2014 C7 Corvette Trailer 4: CREATION

With just three days until the reveal of the 2014 C7 Corvette, Chevy unlocked the final teaser on its countdown site, one13thirteen.com. Titled “CREATION”, the 4th and final video focuses on the actual assembly of the Corvette at the Bowling Green Assembly Plant.

The video opens with a worker pressing a large button which starts up the assembly line. An orchestra of robots goes into action, moving a partially assembled body down the track, grabbing a hydroformed frame and flipping it over, and then the sparks fly as robotic welders do their thing.

Corvette Team member Jonathan Andrews who is the Body Shop Launch Engineer makes an appearance and says:

“Every gram has to earn its way onto the car. Everything has to be rebalanced and reconsidered so that you get this appropriate ballet to bring it all together.”

As the welding progresses and the robotics spin and whirl, that partially assembled body is shown with a group of assembly workers performing the “marriage” between the body and chassis. We can see the top and front intake of the new LT1 as the body is slowly lowered onto the chassis.

This is the fourth and what we believe to be the final look before the new Corvette is revealed to the world. The previous teaser videos dealt with aerodynamics, performance and interior quality.

The 2014 Corvette will make its official debut this Sunday, Jan. 13 at 7pm EST.
