Car and Driver Magazine must know that Corvette owners are really pumped for the unveiling of the new C7 Corvette as they keep rolling out new digital renderings of America’s next great sports car. Here are three new 2014 C7 Corvette illustrations from C&D plus we got a cool quote from GM’s Mark Reuss who says you can tell which engineers are testing the new Corvette – they are the ones with the big smiles.
When GM’s North American President Mark Reuss addressed the press last week at the LA International Auto Show, he mentioned planned reveal on January 13th and said this about the new Corvette:
2012 is turning out to be another great year for Chevrolet…and 2013 promises to be even bigger. We’ll be launching 13 new models next year – including the all-new Silverado and Impala.
It all starts January 13th when we introduce the next generation Corvette in Detroit.
All I can tell you right now is that the new Corvette will offer an entirely new driving experience – one that’s refined, and redefined.
There are just a handful of engineers authorized to drive the Corvette test vehicles on our proving grounds. And you can tell right away which ones they are – they’re the ones wearing permanent smiles.
Permanent smiles indeed!
Check out these new renders from Car and Driver. If the new Corvette looks and performs as good as we expect, then you’ll be able to tell new Corvette owners from their permanent smiles as well.
