Restoring your Corvette’s interior is one of the fastest and easiest ways to make your car look new again. And face it, if your midyear Corvette still has the original seats, they probably sag and don’t provide the support like they used to when they were new. To help take some of the mystery out of restoring your seats, Corvette America has created several year-specific videos that will take you step-by-step through the process.
The midyear seat cover installation videos are divided into two sections, the first for 1963-64 models while the second set of videos cover the 1965-67 Corvette. There is also a video for C3 Corvettes that cover 1970-75 model years.
Having watched one of Corvette America’s master installers redo a seat at Carlisle, I can tell you that this isn’t a job for everyone. If you’re like me in that you’re more comfortable leaving these types of restoration projects to the professionals, then you’ll be happy to know that Corvette America provides a turn-key service as well. Just call them up at 800-458-3475 and they will go through the steps with you.
If you do decide to go the do-it-yourself route, Corvette America is also there for you as well. Their US-based manufacturing plant makes both vinyl and leather seat covers in stock and custom colors for 1959-2004 Corvettes. They can provide you with any of the hardware, seat foam and coverings to help you complete your job. Click here to see parts available for restoring your Corvette’s interior from Corvette America.
