We stopped by Corvette Hospitality Day last Saturday at Waterford Hills Raceway just north of Detroit. The annual event is sponsored by Cauley Performance Automotive, Southern Motors, and DJ Race Enterprise. The relaxing day gives Corvette aficionados the opportunity to chat with other enthusiasts, drive some parade laps on the track, and to just sit back and enjoy some great local club racing featuring, of course, Corvettes in addition to a few other classes.
Admission to the all day event was free courtesy of the generous sponsors. Attendees participated in a door prize raffle, got to meet the drivers, see a demonstration by the corner workers, and check out a cool Corvette display which included a race-prepped C6 and brand new Callaway convertible. All those who drove a Corvette to the event were treated to a special Corvettes-only parking area. The last time we counted, there were over 50 cars in the Corvette corral. All that plus a hot and sunny Michigan summer afternoon made for a truly enjoyable event. Check out some photos from the event below.
