For the last 23 years, the Saint Bernard Catholic Church in Southern Indiana has offered a classic Corvette raffle to raise funds for the Parish. The annual raffle has become an important funraiser for the church who uses the proceeds to help fund the school and daycare programs at their Rockport, Indiana location. This year’s raffle is a red 1965 Corvette Convertible and tickets are on sale now for $30 each or 4 for $100 with only 10,000 tickets offered.
Every year, Saint Bernard purchases their raffle Corvettes from Proteam Corvette Sales of Napoleon, Ohio and this year’s raffle Corvette is a real head turner.
The classic 1965 Corvette offered is a number’s matching 396/425 horsepower big block with a 4-speed transmission. Painted Rally Red with a black interior and black soft top, the Corvette comes highly optioned with factory side exhaust, power antenna, transistorized ignition, 3.70 posi, SS brakes, AM/FM radio, knock-off aluminum wheels and Coker classic gold stripe radials.
The Corvette is complete with almost all of its factory correct components including the spare tire, knock-off wheel hammer, seat belts, washer system, shifter, shielding, braided wires, air cleaner, owner’s manual, sales brochure, T-3 headlights, engine, transmission, and rear end. The Corvette looks, runs, and drives excellent.
Raffle tickets are $30 each or 4 tickets for $100. The winner will be drawn at the Summer Social and Classic Car Cruise-in on Sunday, July 10th. In addition to the grand prize, cash awards of $500 and $250 will be offered for 2nd and 3rd place.
