Kerbeck Gearing Up for Toys for Tots Corvette Run

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Yes, Kerbeck’s 7th Annual Toys for Tots Corvette Run is scheduled for Sunday, October 9th. Last year over 800 Corvettes made the run, bringing more than 3,000 new unwrapped toys for the Marine Corps Toys for Tots Foundation. Leading the way this year as Grand Marshall will be Corvette Racing’s Johnny O’Connell, who will drive the green Allstate 400 Corvette Grand Sport Pace Car.

The starting point for the run is the Farley Plaza rest stop on the Atlantic City Expressway. The Corvette-only caravan will depart at 12 noon and caravan to the AC Surf Baseball Stadium where the toys will be collected. Participants will receive a dash plaque, lunch, raffle ticket and the opportunity to meet Johnny O’Connell and get his autograph.

If you’re looking to make a weekend of it, Harrah’s Entertainment Properties is offering special room rates to registered Toys for Tots participants. Special rates for Harrah’s, Caesars, Showboat and Bally’s are listed on the Kerbeck Toys for Tots page.

This is a great event that directly contributes to putting smiles on thousands of Children this Christmas, so please remember that it’s a cruise and not a racing event. I’ve seen the videos of some fast Corvette driving on the Expressway and with the NJ State Police and Atlantic City Police providing escorts, this isn’t the moment to show off your new supercharger!
