1963 Corvette for sale at Mecum Auction in Monterey

Check out our Saturday morning round-up of several Corvette-related events happening today including auctions, racing and cruises.


Mecum’s Live Webcast from Monterey
Mecum will be broadcasting their Mecum at Monterey auction today beginning at 1pm EST (10am PST). The list of Corvettes for sale includes a 1953 Roadster and some quality C2s and early C3s with a several being L88s and L89s. Several Corvettes that appeared at Bloomington but were no sales are also on the docket including the Harley Earl, Bill Mitchell and Ed Cole cars. For details and to watch the auction, visit Mecum.


Corvette Racing Qualifying at Road America
The GT2 Corvettes are back in action this weekend at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. The teams take to the track at 3:10 for qualifying and you can see the session streamed live on SPEED or listen on Radio Le Mans. Friday’s test session has the Corvettes running third behind BWM and Porsche with only 0.7 seconds separating the top three.

Corvette Grand Sports at the Woodward Dream Cruise
Today’s the big day for the Woodward Dream Cruise in the Detroit Michigan area and the Grand Sport Registry has put together a large gathering of the 1996 C4 Admiral Blue Corvettes. Although registration is closed, you can check them out parked near 11 Mile & Woodward in Royal Oak sometime after 12:00 noon. Check out this pic from Jalopnik.
