David from Kerbeck Corvettes sent us an email this morning with the latest constraints on ordering new 2009 Corvettes from the Bowling Green Assembly Plant. Corvettes ordered this week are expected to be built July 7th – July 20th.
2009 Corvette Coupes and Convertibles:
Constraints are limited to the two new colors. 57U Cyber Grey Metallic is limited to 50 units while 17U Blade Silver Metallic is limited to just 25 units.
2009 Corvette Z06:
Constraints are also limited to the two new colors. 57U Cyber Grey Metallic is limited to 17 units and 17U Blade Silver Metallic has just 8 units available nationally.
2009 Corvette ZR1:
No news yet on allocations for the ZR1 but we hear that production is planned to start sometime in July. Again, stay tuned for additional information as it comes available.
In other Corvette production news, the Bowling Green Assembly Plant will be closed for its annual summer shutdown the first two weeks of July. Tours of the facility have been cancelled from June 27th through July 11th and will resume on Monday, July 14th.
